Alcaraz revels in 'incredible' week at Queen's ahead of Wimbledon defence
Carlos Alcaraz described his victory at Queen's as "incredible" as he switches his focus to his Wimbledon title defence next month.
Alcaraz continued his fine run of form with victory in Sunday's final against Jiri Lehecka, winning 7-5 6-7 (5-7) 6-2 to clinch his second title at the tournament.
The Spaniard extended his career-best winning streak to 18 matches. He also now leads the ATP Tour in wins (42) and titles (five) in the 2025 season.
His semi-final victory over compatriot Roberto Bautista Agut saw him tally his 250th Tour-level win in what was his 311th match.
Indeed, only Rafael Nadal (310) and John McEnroe (307) have reached that total in fewer matches in the Open Era than Alcaraz, who is in red-hot form of late.
Alcaraz has also now won at least five trophies in three different seasons, having claimed five in 2022 and six in 2023, and has become the fifth active male player to win at least four grass-court titles, after Novak Djokovic (eight), Matteo Berrettini (four), Taylor Fritz (four) and Nicolas Mahut (four).
"It's really special this trophy and this tournament. I'm happy to lift this trophy once again," Alcaraz said in his on-court interview after the match.
"Jiri, you had an incredible week, and it's a nightmare to play against you. Great week, great job and keep it up for Wimbledon.
"It has been an incredible week. I came without expectations and just wanted to play good tennis and to get used to the grass.
"It's really special playing here every year and I can't wait to come back next year."

While Lehecka did well to regroup and force a decider - helped by an untimely double fault from Alcaraz - he was unable to carry his momentum through.
Alcaraz dropped just two of his 18 service points, seeing the Czech fall short of a third career title and first since winning the Brisbane International earlier this year.
"It's tough for me to find some words now, but I'm happy I had a chance to fight for the title today," Lehecka said.
"Congratulations to Carlos and your team for doing a great job as always. Unfortunately it just wasn't enough from me today.
"Thanks for cheering for me the whole week and this [runner's-up prize] looks good too."
