Davante Adams has quickly found a new home, as the Los Angeles Rams announced Sunday they have agreed to a two-year contract with the three-time All-Pro wide receiver.
According to NFL.com, Adams' contract has a maximum value of $46 million and has $26 million in guaranteed money. The 32-year-old joins the 2024 playoff participant Rams less than a week after being released by the New York Jets.
Adams, one of only four players to record 1,000 receiving yards or more in each of the last five seasons, will be part of a formidable and revamped wide receiver corps that also includes standout holdover Puca Nacua but is not expected to have 2021 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp.
Kupp announced last month he was informed by the Rams that the team intends to trade or release him this offseason.
Fourth among active players with 957 receptions, Adams recorded four consecutive seasons of 100 or more catches from 2020-23 before that streak came to an end during a turbulent 2024 campaign.
The six-time Pro Bowler was traded by the Las Vegas Raiders to the Jets in October to reunite with Aaron Rodgers, the starting quarterback for each of Adams' first eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 2014-21.
Adams had seven touchdown catches in 11 games following the trade, though his addition failed to elevate the Jets into contention as the turmoil-laden team went 3-8 in those contests. He finished the season with 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns on 85 catches in 14 games between Las Vegas and New York.

While he'll no longer be catching passes from Rodgers after the Rams recently agreed on a reworked contract with Matthew Stafford to retain the Super Bowl champion quarterback, Adams will be returning to his home state of California. The 11-year veteran grew up in the Bay Area and had a standout collegiate career at Fresno State University before being selected by Green Bay in the second round of the 2014 draft.
The Rams are three years removed from winning a Super Bowl behind Stafford and head coach Sean McVay, but they've made the playoffs in each of the last two seasons.
Los Angeles are coming off a 10-7 regular season and defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the opening round of the 2024 NFC playoffs before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round.
