Mirra Andreeva is through to the semi-finals of the Dubai Tennis Championships for the first time, after stunning second seed Iga Swiatek 6-3 6-3.
The 17-year-old prevailed in an hour and 36 minutes to set up a clash with either sixth seed Elena Rybakina or former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin.
An uncharacteristically lacklustre Swiatek was broken after a double-fault early in the opening set, which proved crucial with Andreeva holding out to draw first blood.
The five-time major winner responded with an early break in the second set to lead 3-1.
But Andreeva hit back with a vengeance, reeling off the next five games to book her place in the semi-finals.

Data Debrief: Andreeva makes more history in Dubai
At 17 years and 297 days, Andreeva is the youngest semi-finalist at the Dubai Tennis Championships since the inception of the tournament in 2001.
She is also the youngest player to claim five WTA top-10 wins since Nicole Vaidisova (17 years and 273 days) at the Australian Open in 2007.
The first player under the age of 18 to beat Swiatek at tour level, Andreeva also recorded her second victory over a world number two, having beaten Aryna Sabalenka at this stage of last year's French Open.
