Rory McIlroy acknowledges he will not be as "on edge" and has only "positive vibes", ahead of next week's US PGA Championship.
The Northern Irishman became a Grand Slam champion after winning a dramatic Masters at Augusta National last month, his 17th attempt finally yielding a Green Jacket.
Having added his name to the history books, the rhetoric around McIlroy – now a five-time major champion – will finally shift away from talk of the Slam.
And the world number two thinks that will only play into his favour at Quail Hollow – a course where he has won four times on the PGA Tour – when the season's second major starts on 15 May.

Speaking ahead of the Truist Championship, which McIlroy won last year at Quail Hollow, this week, the 36-year-old said: "I'm obviously going to feel more comfortable and a lot less pressure [at the US PGA Championship].
"I'm also going back to a venue that I love, so there's nothing but positive vibes going in there next week with what happened a few weeks ago, and with my history there and how well I've played at Quail.
"It will probably feel a little bit different. I probably won't be quite as on edge as I have been for the past few years when I've been at major championships.
"I'll probably be a bit better to be around for my family, and I'll be a little more relaxed. Overall, it'll be a good thing."
